Laser Cladding / Welding
Cladding / Welding processes are most commonly used for component repair. More recently, developments of laser cladding are also being used for original part manufacture. The process is generally conducted using a Continuous Wave CO2 laser, with either wire or powder metal being introduced. Laser Welding is a very similar process, but is usually conducted without adding material.
