Inspection
Winbro offer a range of ‘Pre-Machining’ inspection technologies, which verify that the casting, forging or preformed component, is within specification prior to any machining processes being performed. The primary technologies available are:
- Touch trigger probing; conventional and patented six point airfoil location system
- EDM electrode contact sense probing
- Laser nozzle tip probing
- Capacitive mapping
- Conoprobe (Laser device) feature location and mapping
- Triangulation Laser mapping
‘Post-Machining inspection’ finds the features (holes, slots, etc..) that has been machined and reports the actual position vs. specification. The two main technologies offered:
- Triangulation Laser feature location
- Vision inspection using a camera
